Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!

This is just a few of the ways TS can affect girls and women.  If you want to read about more ways please click on the above tab the above tab that says About Turner Syndrome.

Because we have 57 DT members who want to support this awareness event, prizes will be awarded based on very easy criteria. Commenters will become eligible to win prizes. The more comments hoppers make, the more opportunities you have for winning. Here's what to do:

HOW TO WIN:

1. Leave a comment on the TS Awareness Home Blog Post stating at least one thing you learned about Turner Syndrome. Our Tab titled About Turner Syndrome has a quick pictorial explanation of many of the symptoms or limitations faced by TS females.
2. Leave a comment on one or more DT blog hop posts. 
3. Prizes will be awarded randomly from the comments left on 19 of the DT blog hop posts + by 11 of the designers who are awarding prizes of their own. So the more posts you visit and comment on, the more likely you are to win a prize. Don't forget! You must also leave one comment on the Home Blog, too.
4. We hope this will bring an awareness not only about Turner Syndrome in females, but that if any human being seems a bit out of the ordinary, there could be a health-related or genetic reason for it, and it would be nice to give everyone the benefit of the doubt in our daily lives.

How To Create a Permalink for the Inlinkz Tool

Hi, Everyone!
This is a directive to the Design Team.

In order to use the Inlinkz Tool (curtesy of Darlene Pavlic) we must use Permalinks. These are the URL addresses that will be active in the future.
They are NOT the same thing as your blog's home address.

A Permalink allows visitors to go directly to your blog POST.

These are the steps for obtaining your permalink in a Blogger blog.

Go to your Blogger draft.

On the draft-side (aka "back side") of your blog,
create a title that says TURNER SYNDROME AWARENESS BLOG HOP.

On the right side bar under the options for PUBLISH - SAVE - PREVIEW - CLOSE

you will see an orange phrase called POST SETTINGS.

Beneath it are:

Labels

Schedule

Permalink

Location

Options

to obtain a permalink:

1. SCHEDULE your advance date and time in the schedule section.

2. Click on the PUBLISH orange option at top (above post settings)

3a. Click PERMALINK. (under Post Settings)

3b) The Permalink is visible in gray.

4) Using Copy-and-Paste technique copy your link.

5) Close your page (top right).

6a) Go to the Inlinkz here.

6b) Go to the next available spot at the Inlinkz Tool and add your name and PASTE the permalink you copied from your blog:

7) Choose the option to obtain a photo from YOUR COMPUTER ("upload") not directly from your blog. (this is because your blog post has not yet been published, so the linky cannot find it).

Finish your upload, and now your specific address will be available for the Blog Hop, and your photo is in the Inlinkz.

The 2nd "It's A Girl Thing" Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop is going to be the first week in February 2020!!  February 1 through February 7.

Donna and I have decided that we just have to do another "It's A Girl Thing" Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop!!  The World needs to be enlightened so that the Medical Fields will do more research on the affects TS Girls and Women during their lifetime!

Spreading the Word about Turner Syndrome!!

Hello Blogging Friends!!

I am more determined then ever to get the word out about Turner Syndrome!!  I have been on a high since the "It's A Girl Thing" Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop knowing that we made so many more people aware of Turner Syndrome and the many ways that it can affect girls and women lives! 

Yesterday I went to a local Scrapbooking Crop and I brought my cards and all the lovely cards that people sent me to sell for the benefit of the Turner Syndrome Foundation.  Well I stand up to explain that I am selling these cards with all the money going to the TSF and again no one there had heard of TS before except for the people that already know me!  No one asked questions as a group, but ladies came up to me during the day while I was scrapping and quietly asked me what is Turner Syndrome and then were shocked that they had never heard of it before!  Needless to say that took the wind out of my sails and has made my mission of educating the world about TS even more important!

So I am going to start planning the 2020 Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop and I am hoping that it will be bigger then this year and that we can reach so many more people!  I appreciate all of you who participated this year and especially those of you who are already on board for the 2020 Blog Hop!!  I even have some Sponsors saying they will be a Sponsor again in 2020!!
